Next to MJs 6 Finals MVPs, and Shaq 3, and Magic's 2...

DUNCAN has 3.

SO DUNCAN hands down. He performs in the playoffs.

And carried his team.

Same era, same amount of seasons, who's better, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, or Tim Duncan?knicks ,nba teams

duncan is the best even though u cant compare him to guards kobe is selfish and demanding and he sucks iverson was really only seeming to hog the ball he wasnt because his coach told him to and he didnt have anyone else on the team that was ligit Report It

wazup king?... we all know that kobe has not proven anything yet as a team leader! but in terms of individual skills and abilities, we cant deny it too!... so id say tim duncan wins this one best PF ever played the game!
To bolster your argument for Tim and against Kobe check out this question and the answers given

Here is my unbiased opinion.... you have to look at it both ways... by career its obvious that Tim Duncan is better as you can see there isnt need for an explanation why... but if you like at the individual skills of these players its definitely Kobe... between the three of them he has a better shot and he's more explosive.... so it all depends on how you look at it
Strictly speaking in terms of on-court skillz, although it's difficult to compare as they are at different positions, Duncan is better than the other 2 overall.

Kobe has more hang-time and the ability to adjust to the defense and his some clutch shots. His on the ball defense is good. However, he lacks getting others involved and encouraging them to play better. He doesn't pull his teammates like Duncan does.

Iverson is a scoring machine. He really does not compare to the other two. Besides his scoring he is a liability on defense and like kobe does not motivate his teammates to play better.

Duncan lacks in only one category in my opinion and that is clutch shooting. But like most big men in the history of basketball they're not known for being clutch. Regarding the fundamentals of the game including mentality he has it all. He can take over a game if he wants to, however, he enjoys getting his teammates involved and opening up the game. Offense or defense he gives it all.

Having said that, you should realize that kobe is a shooting guard and his role is to shoot the ball. Whereas Duncan as a center is providing the solid foundation for his team. So you could say they are playing their roles to heart.
AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI AI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... duncan isnt my fav cuz idont lik his team........and kobe just plain out SUX. thats th nicest way i can put it about him....trust me i could go on all nite about how much i hate him
its ez to see that Tim is the overall best of the 3 however i ask the real Q what about KG he is the all-around best between him and Tim. right

Well Duncan is the most dominant player on there. The great big man is the hardest to find. I think Kobe is most clutch though but Duncan is the best. AI isn't even in the conversation. Shaq should be in it though.

Tim Duncan is also a leader of a great team who has a very strong bench. LA and Philly have had those but not for long. Shaq and Kobe lasted awhile but Kobe was too young to affect anything. AI led his team who had not too much greatness along side him. I think Kobe is the best player individually right now since he has just gotten the role as the team leader, and he is old enough to have experience over others. He has killer instinct and AI is a ballhog. Tim Duncan is a class act but he is not the best individual player there.
Once again... Kobe isn't even the greatest in the league, so how can he be the greatest of all time?
your reasons for saying kobe isnt as good as the other two are so pathetic.

he is without question a more complete player than either of those two plays much better defense and offense than either player. and your statistics are just plain stupid... of course tim duncan will be the only one to average double-doubles he is a 7 footer that can score. there are so many flaws with the reasonings you give but i dont want to get into that much.

and like it was said before you cant/shouldnt compare a 7' PF/C to guards that are at least 6 inches shorter.
tim duncan without even a hesitation, the championships, the least amount of distraction and able to lead. kobe is not able to lead a team, he can only lead in effort, AI cannot lead a team, he can only lead a team in effort. but a true leader is able to lead a team and inspire them, like TD.

oh and he should have 2 or 3 defensive player of the year awards, but because he is always in position he doesn't rack up the blocks that other guys who are out of position do.
Duncan is a defensive, fundamental player, more organised in his game. Iverson is more of a handler, he basically gets through from one end to another. Kobe is more of a pure shooter, good blocker and a reasonably good handler, so I'd say Kobe out of these 3.

Most experienced out of these 3 is Duncan.
This is an answer to supersonic fan guy. I love how you picked one year and compared two guys in that one year. Even if you did only compare one year, Garnett had 5 minutes more than he did. He also had a lot worse scoring percentage than Duncan did. Doesn't that sound like if Duncan really wanted/needed more stats he could have gotten them. Also, something that is really hard to measure is that Duncan is a lot better defender than Garnett is. Also Duncan is better able to be the leader of his team. Now if you take the careers which is what you should have done not only would Duncan have more finals won, but WOULD HAVE BETTER STATS IN ONE LESS MINUTE AVERAGED. If garnett is better how is that possible?
Tim Duncan, he lead his team to the finals and is a great all around player
ALLEN IVERSON

GO NUGGETS #3
Duncan has always been the best of the 3... He is a leader by example and through encouragment... I have always said that the Spurs drawing the #1 pick in the draft that year was the best thing that ever could've happened to TD.

He had David Robinson and Avery Johnson as his mentors, and they not only taught him the NBA, they taught him how to be a REAL role model.

If you don't live in San Antonio, you don't know the impact these people have had on the city.

But Duncan has created a sort of unity to this team that no other team can imitate. Pop will yell at Duncan for doing something stupid, just like he would yell at oberto or white... And does timmy get mad or upset or demand a trade??? NO!!! he takes the criticism with a grain of salt, gets back out there and KICKS butt...

So IMO there is no comparing these 3... Iverson's a lazy brat (the reason timmy swore to never play for the U.S. national team again), and doesn't lead anyone, Kobe's just selfish whiner, but TD knows it's all about TEAM!
You shouldn't compare these guys to Tim Duncan. They're not the same type of players. If there's anyone who can be compared to TD, it should be Shaq.
Personally, I think they were, with a couple of exceptions pretty equal on the court. Off court, however Duncan did much less to disrespect the game and be a decent role model, which sets him apart from the other two.
Tim Duncan quite easily.
