Celtic fans?

Nice additions in Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. They both have probably 3-4 seasons left before they become absolute bums, and you only had to give up a line up of future all stars. Now maybe some might not make it to an all-star game but they will be successful in the NBA.

Delonte West, Jeff Green, Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, two first-round draft picks, and cash considerations. You can honestly support the GM on this one can you? I didn't mention Theo or Wally because they each suck..Wally may do good with Seattle but I doubt it.

I'm all for giving up young players for an opportunity to win a championship, but when you give up ALL of your future all stars that you had, you make a big mistake. Like you said, they have 3-4 years left with all those injuries (Ray and Pierce) and what happens when they have to retire? The Celtics franchise will be in ruins in a couple of years and their going to be crying their eyes out watching Al Jefferson become an all-star and put up incredible numbers while they watch Gerald Green win a couple slam dunk contests and become a Josh Howard like player. Although they still do have some young talent.. Glen Davis and Rojan Rando. Overall i think they screwed themselves over but you never know, if everyone stays healthy and plays well together they might win a couple championships.

They also got Glen Davis in the Draft, and they will get

free agents going there. Kind of like SHAQ going to

Miami, Gary Payton went there, Alonzo went there,

and other want to go there.

Think of it this way Ray Allen being there, Caused

KG to go there, KG being there will cause many

veterans to go there.

PJ Brown For example is considering Dallas, Miami, and

Phoenix. In the NBA you win with Superstars and Veterans.

All the young players you mentioned were not helping the

Celtics win. So why keep them?

I don't think Ainge is a good GM, but this year, Celtics are

very close to being a Title Contender.
I wish we didn't have to get rid of all our up and coming potentially awesome players (Jefferson, Gomes, and even Delonte I suppose) or the dunk champ Green. We better win the whole thing this year...I'm gonna be so pissed if we lost all these guys and one of the veteran's breaks down. *knock on wood*

I don't really like the Celtics. They were a great team with Larry Bird but in the 06-07 season they had a really bad record. With Ray Allen and KG they'll probably at least make it to the Eastern conference semifinals.
